Fundraising

Fundraising for Miners’ Promise is a great way to make a difference.

Whether you’re an individual, family, community group or small or large organisation, you can have fun fundraising.

Fundraise at work or on site.

Raising money with your customers and co-workers isn’t only a great way to help – it’s good for business.

How to Get Started

Step 1
Choose Your Event

Decide what type of fundraising activity you would like to organise and determine what’s required to host this activity. Pick an activity you are comfortable with and will appeal most to your contacts and networks.

Step 2
Complete and Sign the Fundraising Registration Form

Once you have decided on your fundraising activity, please complete the Fundraising Registration Form and email it to Miners’ Promise info@minerspromise.org.au.

Step 3
Authority to Fundraise

We will send you a Letter of Authority to confirm we’ve received your details and have approved your wonderful fundraising activity.

Step 4
Start Promoting Your Event

You can use posters, flyers, email, websites, blogs, social networking, telephone, the media, publications and good old fashioned word of mouth to promote your event.

Consider setting up a fundraising page via Everyday Hero (www.everydayhero.com/au) or Go Fundraise (www.gofundraise.com.au). These free platforms make fundraising efforts fun, easy and effective. Within minutes, you can build your own personal fundraising page and share the link via email and social media to all of your networks.

You can also upload photos, write blog entries, and keep track of your total via the page’s ‘Hero Meter’.

Step 5
Depositing Funds / Providing Receipts

If you have cash/cheque donations, please deposit the funds you’ve raised within 14 days of the completion of your event with a summary of your fundraising success.

Worthy Parts Mining Legends Charity Rebuild

October 2019 saw the unveiling of the Worthy Parts Mining Legends charity rebuild project.

A wonderfully well used R2900G Loader donated by Northern Star Resources, Rand Mining and Tribune Resources was rebuilt over a 12 month period through the donation of hundreds of thousands of dollars in goods and services from service provides from around Australia (Mining Legends).

Michael and Jaymi Worthington founded Mining Legends to bring the Worthy Parts Industry Link network together to complete a charity rebuild project to provide support to families within mining communities around Australia when a mining accident or crisis occurs and to further benefit the wider mining community.

KCGM proudly purchased the rebuilt Loader which has been aptly named Michaela – in tribute to Worthy Parts Owner Michael Worthington.

Miners’ Promise is honoured to have been a beneficiary of the Mining Legends Rebuild Project that raised close to $1 million for charity. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Michael and Jaymi Worthington, the hard-working Mining Legends Board and to everyone who so generously supported this project.

If you have innovation, imagination and the desire to help others – you too can be one of our fundraising champions.
