Children’s Bereavement Workshop
Miners’ Promise is pleased to announce that we are expanding our charitable activities. We are very proud to be establishing the Miners’ Promise Children’s Bereavement Workshop, supporting children in the resources sector who are impacted by grief and loss.
The mining industry is a unique working environment and Miners’ Promise recognises the need for appropriate supports for our families in times of tragedy and crisis. The Children’s Bereavement Workshops will be age specific and provide children with a sensitive and safe space and an important connection to others.
The Workshops will include activities to assist our children with anxiety, understanding their grief and loss to help children to heal, talk about their feelings and learn from professionals how to cope with the complex emotions of grief.
Miners’ Promise trained educators and mental health professionals will host the workshops.
Our Children’s Bereavement Workshop adds to our existing Miners’ Promise Standing Together Bereavement Group.
We extend our thanks to our members and members of our Standing Together Bereavement Group and we ask for your feedback and seek your support with this very special new initiative.
Expressions of interest from families is greatly encouraged. Please direct all enquiries, feedback and expressions of interest to Miners’ Promise via email to info@minerspromise.org.au or via phone to 1300 124 014.
