Charity Rebuild – Bogger On The Move!
Michael Worthington and his talented team unveiled their unique and generous Mining Legends charity project in December 2018, at the inaugural Worthy Parts Industry Link Auction & Expo in Kalgoorlie.
The purpose of the Mining Legends Project is to provide families within mining communities around Australia support at their time of need, when a mining accident occurs, as well as provide a vehicle for service providers around Australia to contribute to their wider communities.
Miners’ Promise is honoured to be a beneficiary of the Mining Legends Project – it’s humbling to witness the generosity of our resources sector. The money raised will enable Miners’ Promise to help even more of our mining sector families impacted by crisis.
Mining Legends Gold Sponsor Duratec Australia and ATS Mining Maintenance completed the first stages of the Mining Legends charity rebuild project with the preparation of the ATS workshop ready for the R2900G’s strip down. ATS Mining Maintenance have donated their workshop and labour services. Thank you to both companies for your generous contribution and dedication to the project!
This visionary project will see between $500,000 and $1,000,000 raised from the sale of the R2900G Loader and then donated to Miners’ Promise and other worthy charities. Worthy Parts will host the Mining Legends Gala Dinner at the Kalgoorlie Boulder Racing Club on 26th October 2019 to recognise the generous donor businesses who have helped make this inspiring project a reality.
Thank you to all those who have supported this project. If you would like to donate parts or services to the rebuild of the R2900G Loader, please contact Sean Wood at Worthy Parts on 0488 522 211. For more information on the Mining Legends Project visit www.mininglegends.com
