Arron Minchin

Arron works for BHP Billiton in their Business Improvement team in Port Hedland. He commenced this role after four years based in Newman as the Manager of Community and Indigenous Affairs-Mining for BHP Billiton’s WA Iron Ore Operations.

Prior to his time at BHP Billiton Iron Ore, Arron worked in a number of government roles, including the Manager of Regional Services for the Peel Development Commission, Regional Manager for the Peel and Kimberley Regions for the Department of Sport and Recreation, Manager Recreation Services for the Town of Narrogin and a Police Officer with the WA Police Service.

It was in his six year role as a Police Officer that Arron was involved in the Police Legacy program. During this time he witnessed the benefits this type of organisation can offer to its members.

Arron was an inaugural member of the Miners Promise Board and remains committed to further developing the strength of Miners Promise and the service it provides to the mining community.
